Welcome to Gray Horse Designs. I'm Sande Elkins, resident artist, sculptor, photographer, graphic designer & sometimes web designer. I find myself interested in so many things these days and wearing many hats. I started my career over twenty years ago working with wood and creating whimsical, folk art style wood sculptures. I sold my work all over the world and met many wonderful people but several years ago I decided that I wanted to try something new. The only problem, I had no idea what that something was.

For my 50th birthday, my husband gave me a wonderful gift, a beautiful, dapple gray mare called Mouse. She is the joy of my life and she has become my inspiration & muse. You will see her reflected in all the many mediums that I'm now using: wood, encaustic paintings, photography, & graphic design. And you can see her image here. Isn't she beautiful?
